Yehey! I won clothes at Etallasa.com! I'm sooo happy! If there's something I would want to win over and over again this year that would be clothes/shoes/bags (next to gadgets and cash). Do you know why? It's because of one important reason... I'm going back to school! Yey! You see, it's been 5 years since I stopped schooling because I had my first baby when I was in college (2007). I wasn't able to buy enough clothes since then since most of my earnings are spent for diapers and my babies needs. Thanks to my online work. Nonetheless, I was able to enjoy motherhood. *Lipton tea with grape juice and bits of apple fruit

Ingredients:

1 Lipton Brisk Tea

1 teaspoon of grape juice

2 spoonfuls of grated apple fruit

Crushed ice

Procedures:

Pour 1 teaspoon of grape juice in a cup of water. Stir. Then put 2 spoonfuls of grated apple then place the Lipton Yellow Tea bag in the cup. Lastly, put some crushed ice. Enjoy!

A. Describe your Diary

My diary planner was inspired by my childhood dream to have my own walk-in closet full of lovely dresses, like those I see in a doll house, but it never happened because we never had our own house so I never had my own bedroom with a walk-in closet. My mom made it clear that we cannot afford to buy a house so I'll never have my dream closet. Hence I just suit myself cutting the dresses from the lovely magazine I buy cheap at newstands and keeping it in a box, yet now I have my own "walk-in closet" through my diary planner which would also serve as my style guide to everyday fashion. I call it, Style Diary. I would like it to be filled with clothes, and not just clothes but also dreams and goals in life.

B. What is your ideal design for your diary?

I would like it to be full of colors and life. It should be something like a fulfillment of a dream.

Diary cover- The cover would have something that says "Style Diary" with some pastel colors. I don't like it to look too crowded, I just want it to be clean cut and interesting to read so I won't get tired reading my diary over and over again.

Closet guide- The first ten pages would serve as my closet full of nice clothes and dresses. I would like to feel like I'm walking into my own shopping mall with a wide selection of clothes waiting to be picked.

Wishlist- Of course, there should be a wishlist for the things I wanted to receive from Santa Claus, if he's real. *laughs* Wish. Wish. Wish.

Goals for this year- Everything should not stop from dreaming, I have to make it happen so I need a space for writing my goals for the year. There goes my goals for my love, family, work, friends and money.

About my style- I've always been excited about writing about myself hence I need a space for describing myself too! I would be writing about my favorite looks, fashion inspirations and more.

Dear Diary- My style diary would not be complete without the "dear diary" page. These pages should be clean and simple because I would be the one to fill it with colors of my life. I would fill it with notable events in my life and some fashion tips I learn everyday. Then one day I would look back and realize that my "dear diary" pages are bursting with colors.

Letter to God- Every "dear diary" page should be followed by a "letter to God" page. I want God to have a space on my diary because he always have a special place in my heart. The letter to God page should be wide because I want to write all the blessings God had given me and my family each day. This time I would be counting my blessings literally, so when I'm feeling hopeless I would just read my letters to God and look how he was granting all my prayers in amazing ways.

Back cover- The back cover should have a bold print that encourages like a motto that says, "Dare to be beautiful". I think it's the best style tip I learned.

C. How does your diary helped you?

You may have noticed that my diary is a compilation of my dreams, goals and prayers. In many ways, it's helping me to aim high, dream big, set my priorities and make my dreams happen because with God nothing is impossible. Besides, everything starts with a dream. I may not have my walk-in closet now but in God's time I will have it, if not then I know God would give me something better. Masarap mangarap dahil siguro libre ito pero may magagawa pa rin tayo para matupad ang mga pangarap natin, pero kailangan muna natin magplano. That's why we have diaries and planners because we need a guide to remind us and help us make it real. And the most rewarding thing is when I would start flipping through my diary and read the entries I made several years ago and say, dati nangangarap lang ako at nagdadasal, ngayon nakamit ko na ang minimithi ko! Salamat sa Diyos.

Recipe Title: Christmas Ref Cake

Gardenia product used- Gardenia Classic White Bread

Preparation Time: 30 mins.

Ingredients:

Gardenia White Bread

3 small packs of powdered Mr. Gulaman (colors red, green, white)

1small can of Alaska condensed 154 ml

1 small can of Alaska evaporated milk 154 ml

5 spoonfuls of white sugar

2 apples

1. Cook powdered gulaman colors red and green first. Cook separately.

*Here's how to cook powdered Mr. Gulaman

1. Pour 6 cups of tap water in a pan followed by 1 small pack of powdered gulaman. Cook each color separately. Do not mix together.

2. Stir until it boils.

3. Pour the gulaman in llaneras once cooked.

4. Let it cool down then cut it into squares.

2. Cut Gardenia bread into squares and cut apples into thin slices.

3. Make the first layer of your ref cake by spreading the bread slices followed by slices of apples.

4. Repeat another layer of bread and apple then fill the last layer with red and green gulaman slices.

5. Cook syrup* and pour on the layers.

*Here’s how to cook syrup

1. Pour 6 cups of water in a pan, followed by 1 small pack of white powdered gulaman.

2. Pour 1 small can of Alaska evaporated milk and another small can of condensed milk and 5 spoonfuls of white sugar.

3. Stir until it boils.

4. Pour syrup on the layers of bread, apples and gulaman slices.

Chill and serve. Enjoy!

I could have named her "Snow White" because her skin is so white and fair but instead I named her, "Helen Kate" because she's so pretty like Helen of Troy. Oh, if she could just stay little! But my reminiscence was awakened by clatters and I was thrown back to present time. I took a peek inside the room and look what I found...

I’ve always known she had a thing in fashion, just look at how she carries her clothes and how she dramatically makes a pose when the camera flashes. I know, she is changing before my eyes but her skin is still like baby’s. What's your favorite travel destination and why?

I've first learned about this place in textbooks and coloring booklets my mom used to bring me home after a trip to a bookfare when I was in grade school.There were a lot of tales about this place and many assert that this "tales" were real. As a matter of fact, there are real stories about this place that made it more intriguing.

Finally, my dream of visiting this place for the very first time was granted when we attended a family reunion in Laguna in year 2002. Our family roded a jeepney from Calauag Quezon to Los Baños, Laguna. It was a happy ride! Los Baños, Laguna is a great place! We have occassional stops on stores to buy freshly baked bread, buko pie, homemade goodies or freshly picked fruits. I got the chance to see the UPLB which is home to bright students of the Philippines. The school's wide soccer field amazed me and the huge trees which are hundred years old are amazing. I also notice that the air in Los Baños is much fresher and cleaner compare to the other towns we passed through. The people are also kind to give you directions. We spent our family reunion at a private house with hot spring. Actually my Aunt who lives there told that there's a lot of hot spring out there. We love the place and the hot spring feels is just perfect!

At last, we decided to visit the Mt. Makiling which is famous for it's tales about Maria Makiling. Actually, Maria Makiling is the so-called guardian of the mountain. However she dissappeared suddenly many many years ago. You can read about this very interesting story here. Since vehichles are allowed to drive up to Mt. Makiling we rode our jeepney up to the peak. It was a breathtaking experience because the mountain is quite high and the scenery is so beautiful, no very beautiful indeed! When we finally reach the peak we all excitedly went out of the jeepney and savor the surroundings. There are a lot of stone benches. I stood in one of them and look out to Laguna de Bay. It was so beautiful! I can't believe my eyes. I can see the town below, the mall, the streets of Los Baños, the grounds of UPLB - everything located below. Because we're on the top of the mountain the weather is cooler even if at 3 pm! After awhile we are all wearing our jackets! We took a lot of pictures! Then, it was our time to go home. When we are heading back I glanced once more at the Mt. Makiling and smiled as I remember my Aunt's story. She says when you are already on the ground you look at the mountain and you will realize that it looks like a shadow of a woman lying, it's Maria Makiling still looking out to the mountain. Somehow I think she's right, yet it's for you to judge.

So, what is my favorite travel destination? I say Los Baños Laguna for its hot springs, wide soccer field, greener environment, fresher air, Laguna lake, Mt. Makiling and of course, Maria Makiling and its rich stories.
